Traditionally fermented using local honey, this mead drinks like a light fortified wine / sherry. It can be enjoyed neat but also used as the base for a longer drink by adding tonic, soda or sparking wine. Alternatively you could go berserk with a drinking horn. A truly ancient and interesting drink.

125ml measure with travlr at Charters, Peterborough. It's very light gold, almost moonlight. Honey, herbal and woodland notes in the aroma, strong alcohol. Sweet, sweet, sweet taste. Sticky honey, sugar syrup, some orchard fruit notes. There's more sweetness to the sticky finish. Full, thick body for a mead. A decent strong mead, lots of character.
