The Feijoa, a humble hero of the backyard. We love this little green gem and its unique juicy sweetness. Combine that with the classic tart flavours of a Braeburn apple and you have a true Kiwi, Hometown Hero.

330ml can from That Beer Place. Pale translucent greenish appearance. Distinct feijoa aroma, pairing nicely with sweet apple fruit. Clean tasting. Pretty good.

Can from the Grumpy Goat, Reading, admittedly bought mainly to get a new region tick. Apparently this contains feijoa fruit, which is also something new to me. Now, I wouldn't know a feijoa if it bounced off my noggin, so this might be a tricky one to review! Pale gold with a hint of green and middling fizz. A little dust, some sweet juicy apple, just a hint of farmyard funk, and then some tangy green fruit - I assume that's the feijoa. The nearest description I could think of was a slightly under-ripe greengage, but that doesn't quite do it justice. I can't describe it properly, but it's very nice and works well in this cider. I like it!

330ml can from Beers of Europe. Pale hazy yellow colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of feijoa, apple, zingy. Taste is sweetish, fruity feijoa, fleshy apple, citrusy, zesty, slightly tart and soft acidic. Medium bodied, light carbonation, medium-sweet juicy finish. Quite drinkable.
