Bottle from Daniëls, Overrepen. Hazy yellow colour, white creamy foam. Rather lively carbonation. Lemony, grassy, citrussy, taste is rather bitter with hoppy finish, quiet yeasty. Bit dull, not very refreshing. --- Beer merged from original tick of Experimentum batch 2 on 25 Jul 2019 at 12:17 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Tap at beerlovers bar. Pours clear amberblonde. Good white head. Smell is weak. Some ambermalts. Taste is sharp, intense malty (ambermalts ) bit sweet, some yeast, mild butteryness. Ok but not great. Earlier Rating: 4/25/2017 Total Score: 2Sampled at Zythos 2017. Thnx for sharing, Ruben and Tim ! Pours cloudy, unclear amberblonde. Stable, fluffy white head. Smell is bit bitter. Taste is sweet, reminding me of dyacethyl, but not sure dyacethyl is actually in there. Malty. Mild smoked, perhaps ? i did not like this one...

Thank you for sharing German speaking RB Crew! Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ ZBF 2017. Completely different recipe, they made it more rounder than batch 1 since apparently people found batch 1 served at Bruges Beer Festival a bit harsh, low portion of smoked malt. They should start listening to the common dominator is what I think. This beer is far too mellow & pleasing in general even ignoring the experimental name. I suppose that they have a client base to please but makes the experimental moniker bit of a joke. Hazy orange, little white head. Nose is very Be yeast, malt, hay, grain, clean, okay but plain, lacking the USA hop flourish from batch 1. Tase is BE yeast, banana, hay, mildly bitter, very faint smoke, sugar, white bread. BE yeast, banana,... body. Very aptly brewed, there is nothing to fault here, I rate this one the same as the first one but I hope for more weirdness honestly. Just go all out if you will fail, you will fail gloriously.

23/IV/17 - on tap @ Zythos Bier Festival 2017 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2017-513) Thanks to kraddel for sharing today's beers!
Cloudy blond beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adheisve. aroma: smoky touch, not much smell actually. Bit yeasty. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, bit sweet, malty, pretty yeasty, ripe banana. Aftertaste: same, with a hint of peated malts? If you're experimenting with a smoked beer, don't be afraid of the smoke. Let people taste and smell the smoke. At least, I suppose that was the experimental part of this brew?
