This quintessential English-style Old Ale is a masterpiece, with each sip being a delicious new experience. With an abundance of select maple syrup added, and then aging on gourmet coffee beans, Den Haag awakens to an even more complex, interesting and satisfying flavor profile. Still aged in rare, sought after Bourbon barrels, and this time with ex-Bourbon Maple Syrup barrels(!),

Takes an already extremely sweet beer and adds fucking maple syrup to the mix, which makes it pure candy. Just an unrelenting flood of sweetness; treacle, maple, caramel, frappuccino, and cordial liqueur. A couple sips are enjoyable, but a full can—even at only 8oz—is too much.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (19/08/2022) - very dark brown to reddish black with a beige head. Toasted sweet malty with lots of dried fruit shred, caramel and toffee sweetness, full body, nice spices, sweet maple and bourbon coalesce into the sweet malty lingering finish. Gorgeous.

A very dark brown beer, a head is very small and beige. Aroma has caramel maltyness, raisin and prune, bourbon, barrel, some alcohol and maple syrup. Taste has richness of maltyness, caramel, maple syrup, some dry barrel, wood and coffee. Full bodied, but not much of stickyness. Wow, huge beer. Quite sweet and maybe not so balanced, but very good.

Can sample at a tasting at Max's place. Clear deep amber. Coffee, caramel, soy sauce, lots of alcohol, smells like hard liquor, sweet and a bit umami, very boozy, oily. Tastes OK but extremely boozy and hard to drink.
