Danish Wild Ale with White Saturn Peaches aged in Wild Ale Barrels for 18-36 months.
Pántáo 2020 is our beloved Danish Wild Ale with White Saturn Peaches. Due to the incredible 2020 harvest of white Saturn peaches, Pántáo 2020 returns back to a similar flavor and acid profile found in Blend 1 (2018).
Pántáo 2020 is bursting with fresh white peach flavor, with a balanced acidity that brings a unique freshness that can be incredibly challenging to capture in a beer.
For maceration we chose 1-2 year old Danish Wild Ale barrels, with an average age of just over 18 months. The peaches then macerated (with stones) in the beer for 6 weeks. After maceration, we added a bit of 3 year old Danish Wild Ale to round out the complexity, bringing an incredible amount of character that can only be balanced out by over 700 grams of fresh, succulent white Saturn peaches per liter of beer.

From tap at Billie’s Craft Beer Fest, day one. Valami egeszen elkepesztoen gyumolcsos, mintha egy friss oszibarackba harapnek. Kozepesen fanyar, szaraz, leheletnyit funky, de minden a gyumolcsnek van alarendelve, amit cseppet sem banok. Az osszes Baghaven kozul a legszebb tetel ez volt, es a fesztival egyik legjobb sore is szamomra.

Uklar oransje med tynn skumring. Lukter epleeddik og fersken. Veldig sur men også fruktig. Lyse stenfrukter. Syrligheten sitter i lenge.

(Draught at Mikkeller Södermalm, Stockholm, 28 Oct 2022) Pale golden colour with brief head. Fruity, sourish nose with peaches, vinegar, lemon, oak wood and yeast. Fruity, tart taste with notes of peaches, stone fruit, vinegar, yeast, old socks, barnyard and oak wood. Low bitterness. Medium body, dry. Really tasty, with lots of wood and a rich acidity. Great beer!

Bottled@Zinc Craftbar, Vaasa. Hazy golden colour, small off-white head. Aroma is tart fruits and berries with some tea leafs, mild mango and quite big tartish wooden elements. Flavour is very dry and sour with some mango and earthy. Too tart and acidicly sour for my taste.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of funk, apricots, lemons, brett, and a bit of malt: The flavor is sour with notes of lemons, apricots, brett, funk, and malt, leading to a tart finish.

Brew festival 2022. Yellow-orange color with a small white head. Aroma is sourness, citrus, oranges, rhubarb, lemon. Flavor is sourness, citrus, oranges, rhubarb, lemon, funk, tropical fruits, funk, peaches. Very nice beer.

On tap at Brew Festival. It's an unclear yellow-orange colored beer with a small white head. Sour super-fruity aroma with rhubarb and lemon standing out. Lightly funky with some canned tropical fruit syrup. It's acidic and medium bodied with a rather minimalistic carbonation. Lightly funky flavor too, lemony, leathery and very lightly horse blanket-ish, with green grapes, rhubarb and a mild lactic touch. Lasting fruity and lightly funky finish. A bit dull aroma, but with a nice flavor. 220429

Superficial festival rating at Brew Festival, Oslo 2022. Friday session. Unclear pale yellow golden body under a small white head. Nice refreshing acidic aroma of peach, berries and some funk. Taste is light and refreshing as well with acidic citric fruit, peach, zest and mild funk. Medium body and same refreshing, acidic aftertaste.

ABV: 6.0%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, quick, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, earthy, gooseberry, grapes, apple, barrel, light peach. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, earthy, wheat, grapes - apple, peach, dry. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20220205]
