(Draught at Walhalla Brewery & Proeflokaal, Amsterdam, 27 Aug 2022) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with smoke, coffee, chocolate, black bread and maple syrup. Malty, roasted taste with notes of smoke, black bread, maple syrup, treacle, sweet espresso and a mild roasty bitterness in a sweetish finish. Full body, sweet. Thick, sweet and powerful, but really tasty and fairly well balanced. Very nice.

33cl Blik van Walhalla. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Rook, tabak, koffie met melk, chocolade, doet licht kunstmatig aan, zalvig, degelijke body, drinkt erg makkelijk weg voor 12%. Medium body, glad mondgevoel.

0.33 l can from 'Drankgigant.nl', canned in October 2021. Black with a thin, frothy, quickly collapsing, brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently smoky, moderately roasty aroma of dark chocolate, bacon, maple syrup and coffee. Fairly sweet, malty, quite roasty and gently smoky taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, maple syrup and some bacon, followed by a long, fairly roasty, gently smoky, a little boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Heavy, fairly roasty for a Porter, very rich, love the smoked malts in here. Tasty!
