Black Double IPA with Columbus and Cascade hops for a dank piney aroma, paired with dark malts for hints of chocolate. She slithers down your throat...

Lamia was a beautiful woman who was transformed into a demonic serpent lady by Zeus' wife after one of his many adventures.

330ml can. Darkest brown colour with ruby shimmer and average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and piney, grassy, resinous, hoppy aroma, hints of dark chocolate, a touch of liquorice and coffee. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty and bitter, resinous, piney hoppy, almost a bit ashy and smoky, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, salty liquorice, some coffee; lingering, bitter hoppy, almost pungent finish. Oily texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously dry, almost pungent palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Well crafted; bitter, intense, almost aggressive - very good!

0.33 l can from 'Ace Drinks', canned in January 2022. Black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, quite fruity aroma of cocoa, coffee, licorice, tropical fruits and blueberry. Gently sweet, malty, fairly roasty, quite fruity and slightly resiny taste of cocoa, hard roasted coffee, licorice, ash, toasted nuts, blueberry and some tropical fruits, followed by a short, quite roasty-bitter, slightly resiny finish. Medium to full body, smooth, slightly creamy and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Heavy, roast-forward BIPA, really good.
