Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is dried fruits with brown malt, caramel, toffee, figs, raisins, plum, hint of vanilla from the wood. Hint of chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet with a mild bitterness. Above medium body. Has some nice complexity, lots of malt and dried fruits.

Bottle from lowcostbeer.com, consumed 3 days before BBE. My first American strong ale surprisingly - it took me over 3000 rates to obtain one. Murky red- brown with a small off-white to beige head. Aroma of oak, vanilla, brandy, caramel, dried fruits; inviting. Taste is sweet with dark sticky malts, caramel, dried fruits, treacle, oak. Full bodied, fine carbonation, a little bitter, boozy and spicy in the finish. Warming.

12oz bottle. Copper colored pour, ring of off-white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, light hoppy notes. Taste follows with sweet malts, bourbon, woody and light fruity accents. Not overly boozy

12 oz bottle thank to Willrunforbeer. Aroma is strong amount of caramel, toffee and grain. Flavor is more reminiscent of a barley wine rather than a stout. Lots of dark fruit. Decent.

12oz bottled 0X/04/22, drunk 11/11/22, thanks Willrunforbeer. Clear amber, beige head to ring. Good oxidation, vanilla, hint of vegetal. Light caramel and hints of pepper. Soft, caramel and vanilla-forward with oxidation for sure. Not sure if this is oxidized like a sherry or just oxidized like a barleywine. It's definitely dry, malty and balanced, though. Phew, lots of paper and vanilla. Weird one for sure.

Thanks Brian notes of fig, toffee, caramel. Nice balance of flavors. Reminds me of a strong ale/barleywine.

Tight light brown head on a copper coloured body. Malt, rye & berry aroma. Medium bodied smooth, soft & lighter on the back with a clean aft. Malt, caramel, berries, oaked & toffee tastes with a sweeter tangy finish. Excellent.

Bottle from the Low Cost Beer online shop. BBE 21/07/2022. Pours hazy red-brown with a short-lived thin beige head. Aromas of toffee, caramel, sour acetic notes and wood. Taste is woody, bitter, slight menthol. Surprised how sweet this is.
