An oldie but a goodie coming back! Lightweight was the first beer brewed by John at the brewpub and was a staple for years. Brewed entirely with Pilsner malts and hopped with Cascade and a heavy late hopping with Hallertau Mittlefruh. After being lagered for 4-5 weeks, it is ready to drink for your everyday summer drinking needs!

Can domed in Vermont. Pours lightly hazed gold with a frothy, mostly white head. Has light pine needle bitterness, clean and dry pale malts. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly tidy finish, some pale malts, straw. Drinks just fine.

Pours gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving scant lacing to hug rim. Cracker and grape aromas. Soft with bitter earth and hot caramel upfront turning to sourdough in the medium length finish.

Can purchase yesterday at the brewery. Split 2 ways, fridge temp into Teku glassware. 4 finger big-ububbly head sticks around, hazy golden orange. Smells like a more orange and lemon forward HF Mary. Loads of pilsener aroma in here. Wow. it's actually sweet from middle to finish in the flavor. a sweet sourdough bread like sweetness with pilsener qualities, dry european hops and a piney aftertaste. This is tasty.

Thnx to Mike Morse for scoring me the bottle. Pours rather clear blonde, small white stable head. Smell is fresh, crisp, grassy, mild peppery notes. Taste is full, grassy, intense, quite bitter. Very clean. Mild crisp malts. reminding me of a nice de la senne beer. Very clean and nice !

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with a small and dense white head. Aroma is malty and slight citrusy hoppy. Mild peachy, citrusy and slight malty. Bitter and slight malty finish. Ends medium dry.

On draught 4/16/05 at the brewpub. Golden colored body with a strong amber tint to it and a small white head, low retention. Clear, but not horribly so. Aroma of sweet malt and dough, light hops juiciness and some light German-like helles yeast. Flavor is of a solid maltiness, light honey and white bread, but then a soft, flavorful hops becomes apparent along with a wonderful lightly sour yeast finish. Very smooth, almost oily mouthfeel, low carbonation and almost no wateriness, relative to style. A very good brewpub light beer, one of the best I have had.
