A coming together of two giant stouts in our barrel store, aged and blended from a variety of bourbon barrels in perfect fashion. The result is deliciously decadent, rich with flavour and generous with spicy wood and vanilla character.

Bottle from Winerack at home on Valentine’s. Opaque black pour with minimal tan white head. Aroma is chocolate wood candy alcohol spice. Taste is sweet and mild bitter with lots of alcohol, then wood and leather and dark cherry. Finish had a bitter alcohol bite. Nice complexity but too sweet for my taste. Palate is rich and milky but not too heavy.

Svart med beige skum. Lukter salt lakris, tobakk og svarte kirsebær. Fyldig. Mer søt lakris i smak, melasse og kokos. Middels lang.

375ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Dec 22. Pours dark with medium beige head. Aroma brings oaky dark fruits, chocolate, dark malts. Smooth, and full bodied with a beautiful depth of flavour. Good dark malt layers, spiced dark fruit and creamy chocolate suggestions, nicely integrated bourbon influence. Comes together wonderfully.

Black beer, solid tan head. Smell has rich malt, bourbon, a little woody spice, dried fruit. Flavour has a strong hit of the bourbon up front, but there's also brown sugar, lots of vanilla, chocolate, dried fruit, a dash of coffee. Rich and smooth, just about the right side of sickly. Delicious.

Pours black, small tanned head. Scent is fairly closed. Vanilla, smooth, mild barrel. Taste is full, noticable barreld, thick body, mild sweetness. Vanilla. very high quality BA ! Nothing more, and surely nothing less ! Mild soy, some chocolate. legendary balance.

375ml bottle. Smooth, slightly roasty with some lactic notes, bourbon, vanilla, cocoa and chocolate notes. Okay, but a bit too much lactose here.

375 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of bourbon, dark fruity chocolate, creamy vanilla, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of creamy coffee, oaky bourbon, a bit of vinous wood, vanilla, sweet molasses and oily roasted malts. Lactose adds creamy sweetness; the bourbon adds some balance. Very nice
