On draught at Frontier Brewing Company and Taproom in Casper.
Pitch black, tan foam. Foam lasting longer than I expected for a high abv beer. It’s STILL there.
Big nose of cocoa, coffee, dark and milk chocolate. The whiskey plays a lesser role to my nosebuds.
Taste has some bitter cocoa and dark chocolate notes up front. Vanilla and molasses, some very sweet notes, toffee, assertive but smooth whiskey flavour.
Feel the burn! I like that the alcohol is most noticeable in the swallow.
Full bodied with gentle carbonation.
Exceptional sipping brew.

Pours black, small ring of what seems to be a dark foam ( hard to tell without glasses- it is that small ) Smell is roasty malts. Taste is a bomb though. Impressive amounts of roasted malts, chocolaty flavors, bourbon barrels ( is double barrel just 2 bourbon barrels these days ? ) rich creamy and complexity. Oats, burnt malts. really nice. Aftertaste has a lot of chocolate going on. Yes, this is my kind of stout !

On tap at Red Cow North Loop. Pours black with a chocolate brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has dark grains and coffee with boozy barrel and a good amount of roasted malts. Flavor has lots of roasted malts, dark grains and coffee with a barrel presence supporting.

Bottle. Pours inky black, small tan head, decent residual and lacing. Aroma is rich mocha, bourbon, hints of anise, slight smoky note, loads of chocolate, more coffee on the finish. Flavor is medium plus sweet, medium bitter, rich and decadent, like a dessert coffee. Fully body, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty damn xolid.

22oz bottle pours a murky dark brown with some brown head. Nose has toasted marshmellow, chocolate, molasses, caramel, booze. Flavor is sweet, caramel, brown sugar, booze, toasted marshmellow, pencil lead. Full bodied finish, hot too.

From a bottle shared at the DC RB gathering Memorial Day weekend 2017 it is a dark brown color with a tan head. The Aroma is of bourbon and chocolate. The taste is bourbon, oak, vanilla and coffee. Delicious
