Not a lot of depth to this one. Lots of booze and unfermented sugar and caramel. Pours brown with decent head and lacing. Thin on aroma. Bitter and sweet finish. Bottle.

Shared 750ml bottle. Pours a fairly clear amber-brown hue, with a light beige head. Aroma and taste of stone fruits, plums, raisins, Belgian yeast, spice, hints of oak, malt. Finish is a bit warming but not overpowering. Good.

Bottle. Cherry, wood, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Cloudy orange-brown with small off-white head. Moderately sweet cherry, chocolate malt, and moderately bitter wood, herbal hay and alcohol flavor. Good body - a bit lighter than average for the style. A nice beer.

Great Taste of the Midwest, 2017. I do not perceive the lactose. Dark amber color. Strange flavor, aroma has sweet malt and dry oak; flavor has sweet malt sugar and more dry oak here. Alcohol is well hidden. Good beer, but the dry oak is too much. Some raisin, and moderate hops for the style.

On draught at Local Cantina Hilliard. Dark amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of malt, dark fruit and yeast. Medium to full body with flavors of caramel malt, Belgian yeast, dark fruit and a touch of earthy hop. The finish is fruity with a yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Pours rather clear, caramelly brown. Good white, creamy head. Smell is complex dark Sugar, with a load of fruits in there. oranges take the lead. Taste is full, mild bitterness, than turns a bit roasty, bombs of fruit, very complex dark sugars. Soms gingerbread aspect. Som bourbon likte grainyness, but NOT likte bourbon barrel ageing. Way more interesting thans anticipated.

Draft pour at Toronado, Seattle. Left over from the anniversary party with everything but the Cable Car and Four Finger. Cheers to 3 years, guys! A ruby copper pour with a thick coat of foam head and lace. A nice aroma, dark fruit, moderate spice, soft dough. Flavor is a ton of plum like fruit, spice throughout. Doughy malts. Unique, and tasty quad here.

750 c&c from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours translucent dark copper with a slight beige head. Aroma is fruity in a broad way - mixed pales and darkishes. A malt suggesting English pale ale. Med + body. Flavor is spicy, mixed fruits - to include dates, oak, smooth malt. Really nice. Just a touch of heat in the finish.
