Bottle. Pours clear ruby chestnut, small off white head, bubbly lacing. Aroma is roast, tannin, coffee, leather, cedar, earth. Flavor is surprisingly lightly tart, hint of bugs, tannins, faint cherry. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Quite nice.

Thnx to FX . Pours dark redbrown, small white head. Smell is mild sourness, bit malty, an almost fleshy note. Taste is mildly astrigent. Some sour notes. Some dark malts, but no sweetness of them left. mild fruityness ( grape/cherrie notes) . OK

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is fruity with lots of cherry, berry, cassis, plum and prune. Some nice caramel, toffee, toasted bread and hints of chocolate. Nice, light oak notes with hints of red wine. Pours a nice brown color with auburn and amber hues and a medium.sized, medium thick, dark tan head that recedes to the edges where it lingers. No lacing or legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with a balanced acidity. Moderate malt notes with caramel, toasted bread, nuts, and light chocolate notes. Moderately strong fruit notes with raisin, cherry, berry, cassis, plum and prune. Some light oak and red wine notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice sour brown ale. Good malt and fruit notes from the yeast that balance each other nicely.
