0.75l bottle courtesy of Brandt or Zhenya, huge thanks! A keeping Porter, oh my! You don't see those outside of Ron Pattinson posts! So, how did it fare? Blackish body, don't recall the head. Saliva, barrel, raisin, and caramel in the tart aroma. Sourish, but more bretty taste, coffee and citric notes, some light dark maltiness but mainly bitter-tart. Okay, likable enough - love the fact someone tried to do it, the hops are there, and the funk is there, though it may have gone slightly more tart than it's supposed to be. Unique, fun, glad they made it and that I have tried it!

Dank Thijs! Lekker houtig en stevig geroosterd. Mooie barrelnoot, veel chocolade, mocca, en dan de brett die aan een oude houten verregende balk vreet. Mooi spul. | [2023-08-18 20:23:12] - Locatie: Lunterenstraat - Score: 4.25 - Comment: Dank Thijs! Lekker houtig en stevig geroosterd. Bottle. Very dark brown. Lots of chocolate, sweet malts, red wine, soft Brett, marzipan, doughy, rye bread. Solid medium sweet, a bit less bitter and very light sweet. Full bodied, a bit dry. Very nice.

14/1/2023. Bottle at the Haderslebener tasting. Pours very dark maroon brown with a small frothy off-white head. Good looking beer. Aroma of malt, dried fruits, caramel, prunes, plums, woody notes. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Oily, with average carbonation. Not a winner for me.
