On tap at the Backcountry Pizza anniversary party. Clear orange color, with a small, beige head. The nose is orange juice, riesling, caramel, toffee, and juniper. Sweet, with a sharp, pleasant tartness. Medium body, sharp, creamy, and thick. This is an assertive sour, but with great balance. A lovely mix of unique aromas, with a strong, pleasant sour flavor. Just delicious.

Bottle from Bert’s Mostly clear tawny amber color with a smallish bubbly off white head. Vinous rustic earthy funky nose dripping with macerated fruit. Huge puckering lemony tart flavor. Light earth sweet fruit mild funk. Light sweetness lingers a bit. Interesting blend of flavors, nice beer.

12.7 oz corked and caged. Aroma is lactic, strawberries, lemon, wood. Pours hazy burnt orange with a medium beige head that falls after a minute. Taste is sour (7/10), dry, acidic, woody, tannic, vanilla. Carbonation is champagne-level bubbly. Overall, it’s good, but I like less bubbles.

Tasting at Josh’; corked; batch 002, bottled 7/15/15
Hazy Amber color, small head. Nice aroma, sour, fruity, with sweet oranges and ripe apricots. Food body strength; highly carbonated; the flavor is quite nice, the sourness point pleasant, the finish is a bit short, orangey.
Nice…

4 oz pour on draft at Meridian Pint. Clear golden amber with off-white head. Aromas of vinegar, dark fruit, red wine. Tastes of vinegar, dark fruit, bleu cheese, red wine, Brett and funk. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Very tasty, glad to finally try this as it’s eluded me for awhile.

375mL bottle, pours a deep dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is very complex, with red wine barrels, some oak, and a touch of vinegar. Flavour is quite tart and acetic, with oak, tart dark fruits, acetic / vinegary notes and a little booze. Not the most complex by any means, but it's decent. Surprising underwhelming for a Firestone Walker beer. Good, but I've had better.

375 c&c from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours golden copper with a foamy beige head. Aroma is floral/wild - not bacteria I’m familiar with, but whatever the animals are, the result is very pleasant. Approximately medium body. Flavor is sour red berry, oak tannin, peppery spice. It is a bit acidic. The flavor mix is simply wonderful. With time I can imagine a "tea" note.
