Draughts upon release and various subsequent batches, circa 2009-2010 at Deep Ellum.
Lightly hazy, blonde beer with a large head.
At its best this is a world class beer, especially innovative upon its release for both it's wonderful treatment of Amarillo and it's unusually low abv. Both varied quite a bit throughout various batches and sometimes the beer was a bit underwhelming with too much yeast blandness and minimally expressive hop. Though never to an unenjoyable point. Rating is for the best/better batches, with the fresh, bright, floral-woody-spice of Amarillo and a yeast redolent of better saisons (nothing crude). Chewy, substantial malts (but very high attenuation) make you forget you're drinking a beer in the 1.8-2.8% abv range.

Bottled. A light yellow beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of lemons, wheat, and straw. The flavor is malt, straw, and hops, leading to a bitter finish.

Pours hazy blonde, not much head Smell Is bit aromatic by the hop, but very gentle. Taste is bit bitter, rather thin, big watery back. Some hoparoma overpowering the whole. Not great, but ok. Tastes like hopped water .
