24 February 2019. Wieze Bierfestival - cheers to Meeki, Ama Deke & the lovely Anke! As 'Kletskop Oud Goud'. Clear golden with a lasting, frothy, unstable, off-white head; some lacing. Aroma of honey, white sugar, grass, flowers, hashish, yoghurt, bit lactic, generic spices. Taste is light fruity sweet, apple, apricot & white sugar; medium spicy bitter core has dominant notes of pepper, coriander, mint on a bready & yeasty base, faint sourish lemon note. Dryish, grassy hoppy finish, spicy, bready & yeasty, some warming jenever alcohol (weird at this ABV). Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Weird combination of impressions but it's okay.

@ Wieze Beerfestival 2017. Pours unclear blonde. Rather small white head. Smell is weak, bit sweet. Taste is rather bitter, crisp. Rather intense for the ABV. OK

330 ml bottle. Hazy golden body with a big, foamy white head. Aroma is malt, Belgium spicy yeast, slightly herbal and some kind of fruity. Flavor is sweet malt, grain, slightly spicy, very Belgium and hint of metallic bitterness (not in a bad way). Medium body and average aftertaste. Drinkable but noting original going on here, could easily be any kind of Belgium supermarket branded beer with more of a general Belgium beer flavor than any clear style or direction. Not bad, just not very interesting.

Bottle. It pours a clear one, golden in color and with a small, white head. Very fruity nose, peachy and piney, with some grapefruit. Something spiced and yeasty too, but at too low levels to identify. Quite dry, medium bodied and pleasantly carbonated. Fruity flavor with more or less the same elements found in the aroma. Some bitterness towards the end. A quite nice one, but far from impressive. 120622
