Quad of Paradise begins in the mash with a hefty, sticky and dense mix of Pilsner and Vienna but with a huge addition of dark caramelised Aromatic Malt to beef up the nose, body and flavour. Boiled with Magnum hops for a soft balanced bitterness, we then add Grains of Paradise towards the end of boil to impart their heavenly magic.

Can @ home. Dark amber/brown body under a short lived beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel and dry fruit. Taste is quite sweet but not sticky, malt, caramel and dry fruit and gentle alcohol. Fine body with long lasting aftertaste. This one felt a bit rough at the first sips, but went quite nice after a few more, very nice aqtually.

Ruby black with a tan head. Aroma of Belgian yeast and sugars. Flavour is burnt sugar, red berries, malty base, yeast on a sweet roast finish.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11.1%. Malts are Pilsner, Vienna and Aromatic. Hop is Magnum, spiced with Grains of Paradise. Dark brown to black colour, moderate to small beige head. Aroma of moderate Aromatic malts, caramel and Grains of Paradise. Pleasant flavour of malts with hints of chocolate, and fairly distinct Grains of Paradise (leaving a discrete warmth), moderate bittering hops. More British than Belgian, but a nice and enjoyable beer anyhow.

Olmost black with off white head - Malt and some dark fruity notes in the aroma - Malt body with some roasted notes with some dark fruity notes and hints of belgian yeast flavours - Malt with dark fruity yeasty flavours goes into the finish - This was good

Very dark brown, nearing black, some unstable dark brown head. Looks thick. Smells super malty, bready. Body is heavy, chunky, sticky, with some near sharp carbonation. Taste is bready, surprisingly bitter in a good way, some light spicyness.

44cl Blik, dank Harmen! Donkerbruine kleur, beige kraag. Gebrande caramel, wat gebrande mout, donker fruit, vijgen, dadels, rogge, bruine suiker, hout, licht kruidig, rozijnen, bitterzoet, licht alcoholisch. Volle body. Erg smakelijk.
