As pale as a 100W light bulb but as juicy as an IPA. Session-able, quenching and totally addictive. Biscuity malt base with a hint of sweetness all drenched in fruity/dank hops.

33cl Can from Beer Boutique, Putney. Hazy pale yellow colour, white head. Aroma of lots of citrus, lemon juice, quite hoppy and juicy. Flavour of lemon juice, citrus fruits, hint of grain, soft juicy bitter finish. Light bodied. Easy and tasty.

330ml can from Favourite Beers, Cheltenham. Hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. Aroma: fruity, tropical, grapefruit. Taste: tropical fruits, grapefruit, citrus, biscuity malt, light sweet with a bitter finish. Light body, soft carbonation, a nice easy drinking session beer.

Can. Slightly hazy and golden in colour, with a short-lived, white, head. Massive grapefruit and pineapple aroma, with a grassy hop kick. Flavour was also dominated by fruits, with a touch of balancing, biscuity, malt and hoppy, dry finish. Good.

Keg at Cellar, Chester, in the company of Baz, Chester Saturday 18th March 2017 Straw coloured, with a slim bubbly white head. Soft in the mouth, juicy and drinks far better than a 4.5% beer, a little lemony, tart edge, very good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Keg at the Bootlegger, 20/02/17. Light have on a yellow to golden pour with a decent white head. Nose is citric sherbets, pale malts, light bread dough, melon. Taste comprises orange pith, straw, lemon rind, melon, chalky mineral bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close doused with hop bitterness. Adequate APA.

Keg at Bootlegger, High Wycombe. I’d had Bloom IPA from the same brewery just before and enjoyed it so much that I decided to follow it up with another of their beers. This one’s a hazy pale gold colour, but there the similarity to Bloom seemed to end. This one doesn’t have big fruity flavours; instead there’s just a thin smear of citrus. It’s rather watery, quite bitter and mildly dry. It’s ok, it’s quite drinkable, but maybe it suffered from comparison to the excellent Bloom.

Can. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of peach, bay leaf and lemon. Flavour of grapefruit, basmati rice and grass. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture, Soft fizz. A nice hoppy beer.

Can. Turner’s, Sheffield. Milky gold. Thin, lasting, white head. Nose has clean, dry biscuity malts. Lemon balm. Hop leaf. Some mineral like stone fruit. Taste is light, astringent citrus bitter. A little soapy sweetness, not unlike Parma Violets. Light, very crisp mouthfeel. More citrus on the finish, drying out as it goes along.
