Bottle. A- Sweet, cocoa, malty. A- Black color, dark liquid, minimal tan head. T- Cocoa, chocolate, malty, sweet. P- Medium body, thin texture, high carbonation, sweet finish. O- This was the oddest stout I’ve ever had. Then again, all Dundee beers defy normality and not in a good way. A strange sweetness swept over my palate and left me wondering what the hell I was drinking.

Let me say that I am not usually a fan of these Dundee beers. However, this one exceeded my expectations. Yes, it is very drinkable. A very good example of a good old plain stout. Friendly without any of the ill effects of impy stout. It is so common today to ruin all the styles by trying to make them taste like IPA or impy stouts. Good job on this. Went down with enjoyable ease and had a finish that a mild stout lover would enjoy.

Last one (out of 4) of their 2013 spring/summer Variety 12-pack purchased in Syracuse, NY. Pours a clean dark brown colour with ruby highlights. The head is big, creamy-foamy, beige, has good retention and dirty lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate milk, mild dark fruits and hints of molasses. Slightly creamy mouthfeel, but mostly wet. The taste is mild (like all of their other brews I have tried), with notes of chocolate, burnt malts, fruits and caramel. Good as an introduction to stouts and like written on the front label below the word "Stout", "Dark and drinkable".

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours almost black with a ruby hue and a half finger of off-white head. Aroma of coffee and burnt malt. Taste is light sweet. Coffee and chocolate. Full bodied with a thick and creamy texture. Soft carbonation and a long finish. Overall, pretty good. Probably one of the better dundee beers ive had.

Rather Thin although It has Some Creaminess to It. Rather Decent, Easy To Drink And Enjoyable. Probably one of he better Ones from Dundee Lineup.

It pours a pitch black and gives the same color body in my nonic. The tan lumpy two centimeter head appears, rises just a bit and settles down and leaves a light bit of foamy lacing. The smell has sweet roasty notes of chocolate with some light coffee in the background. The taste has the same sweet and roasty smell with the malts combined very nicely. The palate is mostly light with some sharp prickles on my tongue. Overall, mostly good, decently drinkable, perhaps revisiting would be worth it depending upon what else was served.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a big, tan coloured, foamy head. Kind of odd its not creamier. To the nose there are scents of cocoa, wine, light coffee and roasted malt. First sip was slightly creamy with way too much carbonation for a stout. Roasted flavours with hints of cocoa and toast. Finish is smokey with a thin palate.

12 ounce bottle from sampler purchased at a Wegman’s. Pours a clear dark brown color with a thin tan head that fades very quickly. Aroma of roasted malts with a bit of chocolate. The taste is sweet malts, caramel, raisins, some roastiness. Thin bodied. Decent.
