We teamed up with The Veil Brewing Company to brew a juicy double IPA with blood oranges. Adult Human leads with a dank, tropical nose. Flavors of papaya, orange creamsicle and zesty grapefruit wash across the pallet. A subtle ripe sweetness from the blood oranges is balanced by a clean, crisp finish and moderate carb.

Canned 8/10/17, drunk fresh and then almost three weeks old on 8/29/17.
As with all Trillium hops, this one evolved very nicely, though wasn't too bad young. Just a bit too much resin/green bitterness to it, but wasn't undrinkable by any means. After a few weeks, in evolved in to a very soft, lemon and tangerine-accented, honey-rich beer with just a touch of earthy/spice character from the blood orange and hints of floral character on the end. No alcohol or flaw and almost no resin. Certainly no pine on the end.
In the mouth it shows a soft, malty, yet well-attenuated character with soft tangerine, orange blossom, floral and spice notes and exquisitely tight carbonation. Good dryness on the end, with touches of lemon, melon and very light pineapple. Lots of lush, moderately juicy hop notes and a clean finish highlighting plentiful cracker malt.
As per usual, I think all these crazy theories about "What went wrong with this Trillium beer..." is just people drinking their cans way too soon. Fridge and hold your Trillium hops for a bare minimum of 10 days, people.

16 oz. can shared by ClarkVV. Spilt 3 ways. Aroma shows bold blood orange upfront with undertones of grapefruit pith. Flavor has grapefruit citrus, mango pulp, with an abundant amount of tart blood orange in the finish. The bitterness is steady and almost becomes astringent and unpleasant. ABV is mostly hidden under the blood oranges.

Thanks Zack for the can! Poured into a snifter showing hazy yellow with no head. The nose shows a strong citric acidity with NE style malts. The palate is highly carbonated and light bodied. Strong but dry flavours of blood orange with a light zesty bitterness.

Can, by way of a trade. Thick as a bag, slightly murky, pale gold. No head to speak of. It’s not a looker, particularly. Nose has blood orange in spades. Big on the lemon and grapefruit citrus, too. Dry, clean, and slightly metallic malts in the background. Taste is light sweet, with an astringent, citric bitterness. Decent mouthfeel. Doesn’t feel the ABV. Soft carbonation. Tangy citrus to finish. It’s pretty easy drinking, but lacks the juice you might expect.

Pours a murky, dark, orange-yellow, with almost no head. Aroma of citrus and pine/spruce hops is quite strong. Flavor is very citrusy, with tropical fruit, a ton of hop bitterness. Soft mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Really nice beer.

Can thanks to Blum. Pours a cloudy orange yellow with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is strong citrus, papaya, mango, wheat. Medium body, nice bitterness, wheat, blood orange, juicy, very good.

Pours murky blood orange into a tulip. No head whatsoever - looks like juice. Citrus and wheat aromas. Sweet and thick with blood orange, grapefruit and lemony yeast upfront turning to pith and hot resin in the lasting finish.
