Bottle at home, from Hippo Beers, 06/06/14 - Happy Birthday Brendan ! Batch 0062: Citra Columbus. Lightly hazed golden orange with a well appointed off white head that dissipates a little then digs in and keeps you company. Nose is tangerine, light pine, grass, mandarin, pulped mango, toasty malts, light grapefruit - a splendid cocophany of citricana for just 3.3%! Taste comprises citric sherbets, chalky mineral rinse, orange pith, mandarin, grassy twang, doesn’t quite live up to the nose but pleasant none the less! Light to medium body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with juicy hop bitterness. Splendid showing Weird Beard, loads of flavour in this little number, such as welcome change after all the twiggy bland nonsense I’ve had this week whilst spending a night in the provinces!

Many thanks to andrew_drinks for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Fine hoppy aroma. Starts mild but not washy, wonderful hoppy-flowery with some fruity lemon notes. Well balanced finish, hoppy-spicy. Quite drinkable. Really nice!

Cask during Craft 100 at CBC Clapham, London. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy, pure white head. Super solid, sessionable golden ale. Lots of nice citrus character, some straw, pale bread, touches of lemon rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Balanced finish. Very refreshing. Classically-styled golden ale.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s. Yellow beer with small head. Tropical fruit aroma, fresh bread. The taste is bittersweet with a crisp bitter finish. Very good, the low ABV is only betrayed in the weak mouthfeel.

Bottle at home from City Breverage Co Old Street. Aroma is spicy grasses with orange rind, and some tropical fruits. Aroma is a bit muddled with some dirt and twigs. Hazed golden straw coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Palate is nice and creamy for a the low abv. Flavour is grainy pale ale malts, earthy spicy lemon citrus rind. Some creamyness in the finish. Low earthy citrus bitterness.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop Canterbury and drunk at home. Hazy cloudy dark orange gold beer with lasting white head. Tropical fruit hoppy aroma. Very easy drinking cos of the abv, lots of flavour though. Lovely mango and passionfruit and tangerine. Some mild bitterness on the finish. Certainly tasty. Not sure I like it as much as some of their other beers but definitely tasty.
