Sample at Tomahawk Warrior’s First Birthday party on 06/06/2015: Cloudy golden color with a medium bone white head that recedes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, white wine and malt. Light-bodied with a vinous and citric character and notes of biscuit malt an oaky vanilla in the background. The finish is mildly bitter with a tart citrusy aftertaste. Enjoyable beer all around.

The beer is a yellow orange. Clouded over. Smallish white head. Not much retention. Very nice mix of sour and funk in the aroma. Little bit of sweet lemon with an acidic edge. Light fresh grain note. Mild lacto yogurt. Good depth which a lot of sours lack, so that’s nice. Taste isn’t quite as successful for me but still solid. Moderate sourness, picks up a bit in the finish. Medium to light body. Some soft fluffiness. Medium lemon flavor. Some funk depth but not quite what the nose promises. Oak is kinda buttery, nice flavor.

Poured from a bottle courtesy of popery. Aroma is moderately acidic with some nice stone fruit esters. Medium light citrus notes with some medium light oak and white wine character. Pours a hazy, golden orange with a small, thin white head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers. Light lacing and small legs. Slight gusher. Flavor is moderately acidic with some medium lemon notes. Light stone fruit character with hints of tropical and stone fruit. Low bitterness. Medium light oak notes with some white wine tannins. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, I like the aroma but the flavor is a bit lacking. The acidity isn’t too strong. The fruit notes from the yeast lack complexity but this is hidden by all the oak and white wine notes.

750ml bottle pours a very murky gold with some head that faded quite fast and plenty of apparent carbonation. Nose has a lot of white wine too it, champagne grapes, lots of lemon - both juice and zest, some white grapefruit too. Flavor has more grape, some unripened white strawberry, some buttery oak, lots of lemon, some pickled watermelon rind, plenty of champagne though. Oily on the palate, tart but very drinkable.

Bottle in the hotel lobby, RBWG ’15, night 2 - 20/02/15 thanks to whomever shared this number. Lightly hazed orange golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is pissy citrics, brett twang, damp wood, lemon jus, acidic notes. Taste comprises sharp citric rinds, pissy, dank notes, wood must. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, acidic rise in the close with moderate puckerings. Solid sour.

Bottle shared late night during RBWG 2015. Pours Cloudy gold with w foamy white head. Nice tangy peach and lemon aroma. Light sweet flavor with bracing acidity, more lemon, mild salty sweat. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Tart and cutting on the finish, with nice acidic bite, tart lemon, mellow grassy bitterness. Excellent.

Draft - Tart lemon, brett, grape and melon. Cloudy yellow with no head. Very tart lemon rind white grape. Crazy tart.

Bottle thanks to Bigklip74, shared among friends. Pours cloudy peach, small off-white head, some lacing. Aroma is definitely lemon zest, fruit, horseblanket funk, oak tannins. Flavor is dry, medium tart, lightly funky, lots of oak and some vinous notes. Lightish body. Very drinkable.

Bottle at the DC Tasting shared by noodleuser, thanks Joel! Slight gusher. Murky light yellow with off-white head. Aromas of vinegar, lemon. Tastes of vinegar, citrus, acidic notes, lemon. Medium-light body with a dry finish.
