A beer with a strong taste and caramel flavors
Maximator is the most intense of the Amsterdam range of beers. It’s a bottom-fermented Dutch lager weighing in at 11.6% ABV. The power and the intensity of its flavour make it Amsterdam's benchmark beer.
Conceived by the Amsterdam master brewer following the success of Navigator, it broadens the range, whilst faithfully conserving the maritime tradition inspired by the brand’s heritage.

Can in Paris. Clear gold with a foamy, white head. Strong aroma, booze and grainy sugar. Slight metal in flavor, lots of cereal and sugar. Medium bodied, warming with average carbonation. Warm finish, more sugar and booze and cereal malts. Wow, not super great.

50cl Can from AH, at my own "Nectar of the Gods tasting". Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of sugar and alcohol. Flavour is very sweet, alcohol, candy, fruits, metallic bitter finish, foul aftertaste. Bad. Isn’t this the same as Grolsch Kanon?

2-year-old can. Malty, sweet aroma. Sweet malt and corn flavors, with caramel and fruit. Alcoholic but not overly so. Cloying. Much better now than fresh. Less abusive. Actually drinkable, like a rather poorly made heller bock.

21st February 2008. Oh I’m gonna get abused for this! Special Brew like only sweeter - almost a porty sweetness. Dry malty brandyish finish. Champagne crisp. Complex - I enjoyed it although I have no doubt that this is purely a happy co-incidence rather than by careful brewing design!

Blik 50cl in Champagnole. Heldere kleur. Zoetig. Nasmaak niet zo fijn, neigt naar sterke drank. Je voelt 'em wel. (8-2009).
