Tall can from Brewcraft while walking. Hard to assess aroma from can (sorry!). Taste is rich with chocolate, almost Christmas spice but not cloying, cherry and blueberry sweetness, alcohol. Palate is on the thicker side. Really nice though.

440ml can from the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head and some clingy lace. The aroma is roasty malt, big marzipan. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, liqourice, light tart cherry, marzipan, light vanilla, warm alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

440ml can kindly shared by Finn at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri. Black in the glass, fawn-coloured, low, head. Scattered lacing. Earthy malts and grainy chocolate on the nose, nicely roasted. Malt-forward flavours, impacts of dark bread, cocoa, vanilla chocolate added by a little spicy bite. Smoothly roasted ending, lingering vanilla sweetness. Well bodied. Nice, just a tad too sweet in the long run. (Tromsø 02.08.2022).

440ml can online from the source. Pours black with a tight pale tan cap. Creamy dark choc, vanilla, tonka, liquorice and the spiciness of amburana wood. Medium+ body with fine carbonation. Tasty stuff.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 05/05/22. Black with a good sized lasting tan head. Nose is dark malts, nutty, roasted tones, chocolate, herb, vanilla, cacao nibs. Taste comprises roast malts, light spice, chocolate, vanilla essence, cacao nibs, toffee, dark malts, spruce, oak, herb, marzipan, shades of tiramisu coffee mix, good tonka presence. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid kit delivering the Tonka promise.
