Can 440ml (Alko web)
Opaque colour, small beige head. A bit sweetish toasted coffeish aroma. Medium-bodied. Smooth. Licorice, coffee in the toasted flavour. Clean, solid strong Porter.

44cl can from Alko. Poured black in color with a creamy looking light brown head. Roasted malts, turns to salmiakki in my mouth. Salted licorice, sweet with chocolate and light coffee notes. So delicious (if you like salty licorice). Medium bodied.

Can picked Buxton online shop and consumed at Isobels' Spond, nr Kington, Herefordshire Thursday 5th May 2022, Loz and Isobel made Schnitzelscwhich were very nice. I am sat outside with Loz and Baz admiring the view. Pours black with a little beige head. Soft moutheel, actually some thickness in the mouth. Roastiness is dominant, but chocolate and a little coffee. Good stuff but I was expecting a little more complexity.

Drukket på Bergstua. Svart. Lavt lysebrunt luftig skum. Litt lacing. Aroma av mørk sjokolade. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken mest lakris. Litt kaffe. Kakao i en tørr lett bitter avslutning.

440ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Tan-head, one-finger thick, leaving clingy lacing on the glass. Jet black body. Well roasted on the aroma, scent of black chocolate and bread. Dark malt-driven flavours of grainy chocolate, earth, and liquorice. Roasted bitter ending with an espresso twist. Fine depth. Decent sipper on a Sunday eve, not much going on though. (Tromsø 13.03.2022).

Can. Buxton online. Sits near enough black. Creamy tan foam is lasting and fully lacing. Glorious looking bev. Nose has a whiff of tyre smoke. Well sugared espresso. Charred cherry wood. Tangy vine fruit throughout. Taste has a soft smoky sweetness with a punt of earthy, vinous and coffee bean bitterness. Pretty clean and fairly dry on the palate. Smooth with fine carbonation. Drinks easy. Hit of Buxton bitterness to finish. Great stuff.
