Dog H is our latest liquid milestone, brewed to celebrate our eleventh anniversary. So what else could we do but turn it up to that number?
Captivating dark malts, Naga chilies, cacao and coffee. And then cognac. Dog H keys into the Auld Alliance thanks to the influential embrace of French brandy. This is barrel-ageing done right.
The result is a compelling beer with flavour peaks as high as the Alps. Enjoy it now or keep it for a decade. Dog H will reward you at the end, either way. Bon Anniversaire indeed.

Keg at BDCW - London. Pours dense black with a frothy brown cap. Good stuff, deep, lot at of rounded dark malt character, ash, bitter cocoa, scorched woody dryness. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine, massaging carbonation. Hot finish, more ashy dark malts, charred brown sugar. Solid overall.

Keg at BD Paddington, 06/04/19. Pitch black with a decent tan covering that dissipates to a to swirl. Nose carries big roasted notes, cacao, spice, charr, dates. Taste carries a bourbon rip ... couldn't say on was getting brandy .. just a good BA kiss, chocolate, dark fruits, mellow spice, bitter roast, flash of coffee, brown sugar, molasses. Full bodied, viscous feel, boosty but drinkable. Decent impy if a touch hot.

Keg at BD AGM. It pours darkest brown to black with a small tan head. The aroma is sweet, oily, brandy, cognac, vanilla, fudge, custard, rich roasted malt, coffee, rocky road, wagon wheels and marshmallow. The taste is bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, charred wood, slick, oily, chewy, rocky road, vanilla, boozy heat, wood, leather, brandy, chilli spice, warming, boozy, toothy, chocolate cake and warming filth. Full body and fine, foamy carbonation. Intense and flavourful.
