From the sterk, Amsterdam, bottled in 2018. Serving this beautiful thing, yesterday, at the afternoon. For me, it was just great, baltic porter brewed rather on the American/English way, so smooth, so malty, sweet, toffee, vanilla, regular bitterness, 21.09.23

Bottled 20-12-2018. Dark brownish black. Smells bourbon, bit of umami. Body is fairly light for the ABV, lost some carb in the bottle. Taste is pretty savoury, some light sweetness and a bit of roasty bitterness. No heavy hitter, but tasty and balanced.

Bottle at home from Sterk Amsterdam, 5th February 2021. Pours smooth and black, lovely neat tan head. Aroma is cocoa, coffee and liquor. Taste is super smooth, quite subtle, very well integrated barrel, liquor. Excellent and easy to drink

*rating overgezet* Het is een helder donkerbruin bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een moutige en chocolade achtige geur. De smaak is gebrande mout, hout, fruitig en bourbon achtig, erg lekker.

Bottle picked up from Biervana, München and consumed at home Sunday 31st May 2020 whilst on a Zoom chat with Lynn, Barry, Nick and Anna. Pours dark brown edging towards black with a slim light tan head. Nose is bourbon and a little bit boozy, chocolate and coffee. Rich tasting, malty, bourbon, vanilla, some charred wood, dark fruit, but also surprisingly a lot thinner than I expected. It's okay but not the beer I was hoping for.

Bottle at home. Dark brown to black color, opaque, virtually no head. Aroma is malts and heavy bourbon, nice! Flavor is malts, again heavy bourbon, slight distant tart note, roast, light chocolate notes. Body is ok, texture is fairly thin, average carbonation. Alright.

Aus der Flasche (bottled 20.12.2018 / bbe 20.12.2023) im 2019-11 getrunken. Dieses Baltic Porter ist schön kräftig aber auch recht ausgewogen. Das BA rundet das Stout nur ab selbst Aroma zu beeiflussen. Ein gut gemachtes Porter.

Almost clear dark brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth airy palate, decent fine carbonation. Soft fluffy dark malts, a nice dark malt creamy sweetness. Touch of mildly tangy dark chocolate. Very nice barrelling. Lovely smooth bourbon, flavoursome, fruity and not at all fierce. A well integrated and pleasing mild wet wood underneath. Fruity bourbon smooth finish. Lovely stuff. Have to put the brakes on here, or the whole double digit abv bottle would be gone in a few minutes.
