With fresh, green and wet hops delivered right to our brewery doors from our friends in Epsom, we decided they deserved to be centre-stage. We set them up to shine against a classic Pale Ale malt backbone of breadiness and mellow sweetness. All the hops were put in at the end of the boil, homegrown Target and Phoenix, to give light citrus and floral buttercup aromas on the nose. Quaffing down this easy drinking brew, you'll enjoy a mix of orange marmalade and subtly spicy flavours.

Bottled 330ml (BGonzo, bottled 28/09/17)
Golden colour, small white head. Malty, slightly floral aroma. LIght-bodied. Bready malty flavour, flowery hops. Pale and clean. This has more Helles-like malty character than hops. Is it that bottle is 4 months old? Reasonably ok anyhow,

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Clapton Craft. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. English yeast in the nose, some biscuits, pale bread, nips of lemon peel. Light sweet flavour with creamy malts, more biscuits, mild leafy bitterness, lemon meringue. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, more creamy meringue, mild bitterness, smooth pale bread. Wow, quite well structured. Really lots of fun.
