Enter the labyrinth - a full flavoured farmhouse cider.
The first of a series, the Minotaur blend is built around smooth Harry Masters Jersey from 2020, which delivers gentle tannins and confident maturity. To this we have layered in a young Nehou from 2021 to bring robust astringency. The blend is completed with just enough natural apple sweetness from our classic orchard blend keeved cider.

(Cask at King's Arms, Bethnal Green, London, 20 May 2023) Hazy golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, slightly sourish nose with apples, toffee, pears, herbs and a touch of yeast. Fruity taste with notes of apples, grass, toffee, apple peel tannins and a generous acidity. Medium body, dry. Smooth and refreshing with a generous fruit character and a good acidity. Very nice.

On tap at London Beer House. Pours a clear gold with a slight copper hue and a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has slightly earthy and dry apple with a bit of sweetness underlying. Flavor has earthy apple with a slight dryness and light acid in the finish.

Keg @ Cider House, Borough Market. Unclear misty gold, small white head. Fleshy fruity nose. Nice natural fruitiness to taste, distant pips, blossoming tannins, really nice.

Bag in a box from Middle Farm Cider Barn, near Lewes. Lightly hazed yellowy-orange. Flat, with a mild stewed apple sweetness. This just feels a bit dull. Easy drinking juice though.

Draught at Cider House, Borough Market, London. Orange gold colour, no head and aroma of fruity apple. Taste is sweetish, fruity, apple, mellow, light funk, some acidity and tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium finish. Well balanced, nicely drinkable.
