Om de 140ste verjaardag te vieren van Oud Beersel, opgericht in 1882 door Henri Vandervelden, creëerden we een unieke Oude Geuze samengesteld uit enkel foeder-gerijpte Lambieken. We selecteerden drie speciale foeders voor deze blend, die is samengesteld uit één- en tweejarige Lambieken van 40HL foeders en een driejarige Lambiek van een 120HL foeder die zich op de tweede verdieping van onze stekerij bevindt.
Deze combinatie resulteert in een blend met een gemiddelde leeftijd van 30 maanden, wat deze verfijnde Oude Geuze een buitengewone complexiteit geeft.

A clear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of tart white grapes, apples, funk. Taste of sour grapes, apples, funk, barnyard, moderate carbonation.

Rund säuerlicher Beginn. Deutliche Traubennoten, getreidig-herb, viel Zitrus. Spritzig, herb, langer, weich säuerlicher Abgang. Gelungen. 10/10/10/10/9/10

Vintage 2021. Limited Edition Bottle from smakpiwa.pl (not exist webshop now) Regionalne piwo z malowana butelka, limitowane i z certyfikatem IGP. Coz mozna wciagac nosem setki razy zupelnie jakby sie bylo w srodku laki kwietnej. Miodowe akcenty tym razem, malo mlecznej warstwy, rumianek, miod mniszkowy i faceliowy. Metnosc spora, musujace z rosnaca piana, to samo co w wersji 2 lata starszej. Mniej aromatow skory itp. Bardziej lagodne i ze sie wyraze (a tak nie lubie okreslac) pijalne dla tych co zaczynaja przygode z kwasnymi piwami.

Gulbrun lett tåkete med hvitt skum. Lukter svovel, bæreddik og hvete. Middels fylde. Fruktig og sur. Smaker bæreddik, krekling og svovel. Middels lang.

Aromas are Brett, toffee, funk, malt and stone fruit. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, with mild tartness and enough fruit and malt sweet to balance with just right carbonation. Enough bitter to keep it interesting. Finish follows flavors and is pleasant. Very nice beer.

375 ml bottle. Pours amber with little head. Aromas of farmhouse, citrus, grapes, leather and sharp wheaty malts. Flavors follow same with additional grass and lemon. Good.

Hazy, pale amber. Lots of head. Leathery aroma makes me happy. Complex bugs. Quality malt. Lean body, quality bugs and a very good berryish fruity complexity. Light acidity. Honestly, this complexity/acidity ratio is very high, which is a sign of an exceptional gueuze. There's hay, fresh grassy hop notes, and complex bitterness. This is delicious.
