Such is the popularity of our Citra and Mosaic DDH IPA, I Have Become The Boat, we soon realised we were going to need a bigger vessel. So we doubled it up to create a DIPA dripping in juicy tropical and stone fruits, with a dank pine backbone.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate starts smooth and mildly dry but a crisp carbonated bite quickly takes hold. Light malts deliver an alright level of thin creamy sweetness. Savoury hop into a little skunky hop. Crisp pine. Mild Citra juiciness and a fair showing for Mosaic here - a little candy fruits and a whisper of blueberry. Finishes semi dry and crispy with a little hop spice starting to nibble. A decent affair but it never really grabbed me.

Heavy, dankish and herbal hoppy with some citrus, pine, grass and tropical fruits. Pretty good despite it's not super fresh anymore.

Can at home, in the garden, 3rd June 22. Pours a milky cloudy yellow orange haze. Aroma is tropical fruits, citrus and sherbert. Taste is smooth, tropical and citrus fruits, well integrated, easy drinking DIPA, not sure is any better than the original IPA, but very decent all the same

440ml can. Murky golden yellow, small white head. Aroma of ripe tropical fruits, mango, peach, pine. Taste is intensely hoppy, ripe mango, pineapple, pine, peaches, pithy/zesty bitterness and strong dank notes throughout. Full bodied, smooth. Excellent. A much more intense version of the original.
