Aggressive, yet majestic. Fluffy, but not without a bite. Bigger than big. Really Big Bird is the largest and most hop-saturated addition to our Small Bird Series to-date. We took Big Bird, one of the hoppiest beers in our portfolio, and dosed it with an even more ridiculous dry-hopping rate, resulting in a beer that is unapologetic in its approach.
Presenting a densely hazy deep straw yellow, Really Big Bird wastes no time in offering its bouquet of fruit-forward aromatics. Beginning on the citrus side of the spectrum, we're first greeted with pungent notes of pithy orange, candied grapefruit, and lemon cello. As the glass warms, a tropical character presents itself in the form of a pineapple and papaya smoothie. Earthy undertones, centered around a piney bitterness create a wonderful balance atop a creamy, full-bodied mouthfeel. We're going to need a bigger nest!

473ml can. Murky, pale yellow colour with small, frothy, fading, white head. Tropical fruity hoppy and peppery, yeasty spicy aroma, hints of durian fruit. Taste is bitter hoppy, some unspecific, tropical fruity flavours, pungent bitterness; lingering, peppery finish. Creamy texture, dry, pungent palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Unbalanced, overdosed, without use totally overdone - disappointing.

Can shared by Johnny. Appearance is pèrdezoad, small white head. Aroma and flavor are insanely hoppy, fruity hoppy but with a solid bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Very nice, apart from the appearance...

Can at home in Hackney - many thanks to Sander. Pours pale yellow, totally opaque, with a fizzy white head. Medium sweet, super chalky, some raw green hops, lemon peel, modest throat burn, orange rind. Full bodied with spritzy carbonation. Hot finish, more raw hops. No redeeming qualities really.

Can via the brewery. It pours crazy cloudy creamy gold with a decent white head. The aroma is rich and juicy, thick and sweet, plenty of zingy citrus, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, yuzu, some pineapple, nectarine, honey, green, weedy, herbal and some sherbet. The taste is firmly dry, some lingering green bitterness, weedy, dank, big rips, spicy, thick, pithy, zesty, tangerine, candied orange, lemon, pomelo, passionfruit, pineapple, minerality, floury bread, refreshers and a nip of alcohol with a drying finish. Medium+ body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Ticks all the boxes. It's a big beer, but delivers.
