330ml bottle purchased at Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. Bottle with a reddish neck pouring a low off-white head over a deep dark brownish body, dotted spots on the glass. Roasted malty aromas with cognac moments. Quite nice and interesting blended taste of dried fruits, vanilla caramel, and oak. Warming, roasted malty ending with noticeable cognac. Full bodied. Good sipper qualities, and an excellent nightcap. (Hotel room, Oslo 17.04.2023).

Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is fris fruitig, licht zoetzuur met iets van druiven, wat rozijn, bruine suiker en iets van appel.

Sampled @ Borefts Bier Festival 2022. A clear reddish brown beer. Aroma of strong red malt, riped fruits, raisins, vanilla. Taste of overriped red fruits, caramel, raisins, caramel, boozy.

On tap at Borefts. Pours a very dark reddish brown with light head. Aromas of sweet booze, brown sugar and caramel malts. Flavors follow same; booze is almost vinous

Clear dark red to red brown beer, no head; Aroma: nice, a bit sweet up front, lots of alcohol, vanilla, caramel notes, very nice, lovely stuff going on here. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit sourish, sweet touch, caramel notes, alcohol, dry, sugary, some apple brandy. Aftertaste: dry, alcohol, brandy, cognac, too boozy, too much of the liquor, too sweet as well, malty touch, caramel, nope. It’s just too much, not balanced anymore. Too bad, cause it really smelled delicious!

Tap. Dark amber to brown color with no head. Aroma is raisins, caramel, sweetish. Taste is the same, sweet and juicy, warming finish. Oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

Almost clear dark reddish amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is fairly light with decent fine carbonation. The malts are somewhat overwhelmed with layers of fruity cognac, including some nice berry liqueur notes, but some mild cream and caramel are detectable. Undoubtedly the star of the show is the barrelling. Touch of oak induced vanilla and mild alcohol spice. Tasty affair.

33cl Fles, dank Harmen! Roodbruine kleur, bijna geen kraag. Ruikt zoet, cognac, rozijntjes, rode appel, redelijk hoog limonadegehalte, vanille, hout, licht boozy. Medium body, beetje fizzy mondgevoel. Degelijk, geen hoogvlieger.
