Bottle. Really dark brown in color. I was not too sure about this beer but turned out to be really good.

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Big zesty orange aroma indeed, fruity citrus, dark malt, cocoa, roast, chocolate, coffee, some hops in the finish. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and medium hoppy bitter. Body is above medium, very agreeable. I love orange in my Porter/Stout and this one did not disappoint.

Bottled. Black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is mild tart tones with some smoked, chocolaty, fruity and mild wooden tones to it. Flavour is fruity, roasted malts, some coffee, mild oats, caramel and toffee with some mild wooden tones too.

Bottle. Almost black. Roast, caramel, orange peel in the aroma. Caramel, roast, orange peel in the aroma. Caramel, roast, chocolate, orange peel and lots of grassy hops in the flavor. A very rich and tasty beer.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a perfectly opaque and oily glow of black with a thinnish off-white head that barely coats the top then dies very quickly. Aroma of oranges, vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, lactose, grain, peat, sulfur and a dose of pure cream. Medium-bodied; Strong roasted malt flavours with oatmeal, coffee, vanilla, grain and a dose of chocolate, ending with some lightly smoked notes Medium-bodied; Strong grainy flavour of oatmeal, chocolate, coffee, peat and some bittered nuts with earthiness right behind and barely noticeable at the edge - oranges. Aftertaste shows the oatmeal, grain, coffee, chocolate and burnt sugar and lactose notes with a very robust malt profile and big body. Overall, a nice and enjoyable porter that borders on Imperial status in terms of body and flavours, but not alcohol - nice throughout, but probably not worth all the money. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Leuken's Liqours in Clearwater, Florida on 14-April-2019 for US$5,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on 17-April-2019.

Solid porter, bitter and roasty, heavy with unsweetened chocolate and espresso notes, the orange zest providing a too-strong java-like acidity to the profile. Starts almost stout-like, full of black coffee and anise, then quickly gains a fruity undertone that mixes oranges with subtle cherry and raisin undertones. Finishes dry and citric; not a huge fan of the effects of the zest, but the base porter's pretty damn delicious. Pours a beautiful black with a massive beige head and tons of lace. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the nose. Super-smooth feel makes the pint disappear way too quickly. Nice beer, but would've been world-class without the adjunct.
