Can sourced from Craft Beers Delivered and drunk at home (24/11/2022) - New 🇮🇪 brewery and region County Louth ✅ pours black with a beige head. Smooth dark sweet and a little roasted malty, some chocolate, touch of bitter coffee roast, dark malty finish. Not bad.

Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. This is a nitro beer, so it all comes gushing out in an awful mess ! Anywyay, pours an intense black with a large foamy cream head. Roasted malts, biscuits and oats can be detected in the aroma. The first taste proves it to be sweet, smooth – and very little else ! Pretty damn tasteless in fact. Eventually some bitterness comes through, along with hints of chocolate and dark fruits. By then however, it’s too late – I’ve already drunk most of it searching for some taste. One of the blandest stouts I’ve ever tasted. On the plus side though it’s the most swiggable stout I’ve ever tasted !

Ugly can design - looks more like something out of a macro brewer bulk pack than anything attempting to be craft beer. The beer inside looks the part though - black with a light brown to cream head. Up front it's a bit acrid, with a hint of burnt malt. It soon gets sweeter though with blackberries and chocolate coming through. Very smooth (as you'd expect from a nitro can). The flavours are a little mild - it could definitely do with more oomph - but it's a pleasant stout nevertheless.

[44cl nitro widget can from Beer52.] A traditional draught stout pour, thanks to the widget, with a peaty brown body and a good centimetre of beige head; aroma of toasted oats; quite thin but creamy in the mouth with a deep bitterness from heavily roasted malts; and a dry finish with hints of bitter chocolate. Proof, if it is needed, that good stout doesn't just come from Dublin.

Nitro creamy light brown head stayed on a near black body. Liquorice, malt, & nutty. Medium bodied, soft, pillowy & cloying. Malts, coffee, aniseed & roasted tastes with hints of smokey bacon on the finish. Looks great but all a mixed up.

440ml can - Pours deep dark brown colour with an average sized foamy and creamy beige head. The aroma is chocolatey with roasted malts and hints of coffee. A smooth mouthfeel and moderately sweet roasted taste, chocolate, coffee and roasted malt flavours but rather subdued with a drying light roasted bitterness in the finish.

440ml can online via Beer 52 sub. Pours opaque very dark brown with a creamy beige head. Nitro pour smooth, roast, light coffee, creamy, semi-dry. Medium body with fine carbonation. A very drinkable Guinness alternative
