At starter beer, courtesy of Jonas prior to Day 2, Hallertauer Bierfestival weekend, Attenkirchen, Saturday 25thJune 2022. Pours warm orange/gold with a white head, pretty good clarity. A rush of sweet malts, some orange, soft moutheel, a little prickly carbonation, good fruitiness, good.

Bottle. Bright orange brown. Apple, gooseberry and gummi bear, with a nice tart, too. A bit flat, with a bitter edge. More like boozy juice. Rating is from June 25, 22.

Bottle, danke Günther! Light hazy amber, offwhite foam. Medium to full chewy juicy malt, good fruitiness and floral, gooseberry hop notes. Lightly sweet but moreish.

0.5 l bottle from 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle', best before November 2022. Almost clear, deep amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, gently fruity, moderately floral aroma of honey, orange blossom, some tangerine and light grains. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity and slightly floral taste of grains, some honey, orange blossom, tangerine and a touch of caramel, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very decent Bock (coming at only 15.4°), not over-hopped and really pleasant overall.

Bottle: Deep golden to copper coloured, hazy, smaller creamy and lacy off-white head, distinctive bitter-sweet aroma of citrussy/lemony hops with woody/resiny traces, well detectable bready/malty “backbone”; moderate to robust bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and pretty soft; lingering dryish bitter-sweet resiny and fruity finish dominated more by hops and less by malt.
