Deep nutty in the glass with a fine head Ok lacing. Looks good Both flavor and aroma are caramel bomb Also a bit to unbalanced sweetness [On tap (as Christmas Ale) at Absolutt Bar in Halden, Norway]

Mørk brun med høyt lys gulbrunt skum. Lukter julekrydder og knekk. Middels fylde. Maltig sødme, brent lett bitter brent karamell, julekrydder, nellik, noe sitrusskall og mørk sjokolade. Middels lang.

Bottle at home. Two year old. The colour is deep reddish brown with a small beige head. Sweet aroma of fruity candy, raspberries, dades, leather, nuts, cold coffee, wood, roasted almonds and chocolate. Malty flavour of wood, nuts, game meat, dades and subtle chocolate. Has a silky mouth feel, medium to full body and has a light bitterness. Decent and interesting but the taste is a bit strange.

Keg @ Kniven, Oslo whilst listening to some great hardcore thrash. Pours hazy dark brown, small tan head. Aroma has dark fruits, light spice, cocoa hints. Taste is smooth Belgian dark ale territory, light on spice for a Christmas beer but perhaps better for it. Good full-flavour with soft dark malts.

Bottle as Svaneke Christmas Ale. BBD 21.10.2015. Very dark brown, beige froth. Aroma has ripe plums and toffee, dark malt. Flavour has sweet malt and dried fruit. A little spice later on. Sweetish with late, bitter bite. Watery, forgettable.

Tap@Taphouse, CPH (day after ØJ-dag) - brown beer with beige head. Dark sweet malty aroma and taste, caramel, fudge toffee, brown sugar, lots of herbal and spicy action going on, earthy yeasts, good Jule ol.
