Solar Flare, the hottest of hot, huge hazy Double IPA’s, bursting with powerful, radiant, tropical flavours of sticky mango, warm lychees, papaya and fresh melon. This double IPA is sun ripe and mesmerizingly delicious.

440ml can from Tesco. Surprise can chucked in with the shopping by Soph. Hazed, opaque golden appearance, small white head. Aroma of pulpy stonefruit, moderately sweet, smooth palate, good balanced hazy stonefruit character, peachy. Didn't want to like this given the shocking drop in quality in all the other beers I've tried from them the last 3 years, but it's actually decent and head and shoulders above 95% of the hazy pales pedalled by all the pretend craft upstarts littering the shelves.

Escaped. Didnt do that well, but a few of us were drinking. Anyway, this tastes faintly of petrol (the taste of the smell thing). Not wholly bad, but not all that good either.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Waitrose. Pours murky yellow-gold with a small, foamy white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with a little flinty dryness, semi-ripe citrus fruits, some minerality, nips of pine and rind. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly warming, a touch flabby, more mild flinty minerality, lemon peel. So so overall, drinkable, nothing remarkable about it, though.

Can, small bubbly head, cloudy pale orange colour, melange of tropical fruits with citrus, fruitiness feels ripe, medium strong mellow citrusy bitterness. Really good.

Can from Ocado. Hazy orange pour with a white head. Mango, pineapple and sweet citrus aromas. Pineapple, breakfast juice and sweet citrus flavours, touch of coconut creeping through in the background. Quite sweet, light lick of hops. Goes down well.
