Slightly darkish yellow, but clear pour, thin whire head; aromas of malt and grain, similar for the taste, decent Kölsch, although I am not the biggest fan of Kölsch, tbh

Foamy white head on slowly carbonating clear pale amber coloured body. Sweet, stone fruit & malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a lively sticky back. Malt, herbal, stone fruit & sweet fruity tastes with a tangy peppery finish.

Bottle: Golden, clear, loose and quickly collapsing white head, mild sweetish-bitter fruity-grainy nose with a light cardboardy touch; delicate sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied and a bit fizzy; slightly lingering grainy-fruity finish with a shy bitterness in the aftertaste. Even through brewed with a little help from the Brewdog beer-wizards, just as boring as all the other Kölsch brews from Cologne, with - that is understood - one exception, the one and only Päffgen...

0.33 l bottle from 'Craft Bier Bude', best before May 2023. Clear, golden with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, moderately fruity-floral aroma of grains, some lemon peel, light honey and hints of straw. Slightly sweet, a little malty, moderately bitter, a bit fruity-floral taste of grains, straw, some honey and a touch of lemon peel, followed by a short, gently bitter, a bit grassy finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Fairly classic Kölsch, maybe a bit hoppier but not really more aromatic.

Keg at BD Dogtap. It pours clear golden - amber with a decent white cap. The aroma is soft, sweetish, doughy white bread, rich tea biscuit, grassy, floral, cereal and sponge cake. The taste is dry, soft, bitter - sweet, doughy white bread, light sponge cake, cereal, dull candied lemon, something slightly herbal, minty almost and some grass with a soft, subdued finish. Average body and fine to moderate carbonation. Rounded, easy going and rather drinkable. Decent.
