Clear dark brown beer, solid creamy beige head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty up front, lots of grains, some hay, cow fodder, gentle roast. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit sweet, very malty, some caramel, a little bitter, slightly sour, good roast. Aftertaste: bitter, very roasted, some coffee, a little smoky, a bit sourish, grains, hay.

Black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma full of ash with faint hints of chocolate and prune. Taste is roasted bitter the whole way through, full of ash, with a touch of bittersweet chocolate underneath. Perfect body—smooth and creamy, yet chewy enough. Tasty. About as good as you can get for a Schwarzbier.

Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, mild roast, black bread. Taste is the same, pretty fresh overall, mildly earthy-bitter finish. Silky mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Smooth!
