IPA - Imperial New England / Hazy Rotating
Score

ABV: 8.5% IBU: - Ticks: 12
Kinetics starts off with a huge base flaked oats and wheat before an enormous whirlpool and dry hop of Citra. Pouring opaque bright yellow, aromas and flavors of melons ran through a juicer, orange tang, mandarin orange slices, mango sorbet, ripe cantaloupe, lychee, and limes. This beer has a beautiful hop tang that builds up into an explosive rainbow melon #EQjuice profile before finishing off creamy with a touch of bitterness getting you ready for the next sip. This beer is very special to us and in our opinion hard to put down

(Draft at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 16 Aug 2025) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, pineapple and herbs. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, orange, lemon peel, peaches, tropical fruit, white bread and a mild citric/herbal bitterness. Almost full body, smooth and fairly soft mouthfeel. A certain sweetness. Hoppy, fruity and juicy. Very nice.

From Beer Drop. No on the can.

Pours a hazy dark yellow with a good head of foam, some good lacing.

Smells of grapefruit, tropical fruit, definitely on the bitter side. Hazy yet bitter. Nice.

Taste has a nice grapefruit bitterness, some tropical fruitiness, hints of melon, smidgen of onions.

Good, kind of juicy mouthfeel, a good Double IPA.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a dirty dishwater color with a huge off-white head that fills the glass. Overcarbonated to the point of it probably refermenting in the can. Smells of mineral water and tap water. Flavorless sparkling water on the palate with scratchy endless carbonation. Can a beer be oxidized and overcarbonated at the same time? Yikes!

Can pour. It's an opaque dark yellow with no sparkle, finger-width off-white head, no sparkle with decent retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is strong orange, melon, mild tart element, boiled spinach/gym socks. Taste is strong orange, melon, dank, vegetal/gym socks. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, for major Citra, this is not bright citrus and strange tart/musty elements.

16 oz. can, pours an opaque peachy orangey yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is quite juicy, with lots of stone fruits, citrus hops, and some hop oils. Flavour is juicy, with lots of underripe stone fruits, some dank weedy hops, and bitter citrus peel. Fruity, juicy and even somewhat perfumey. The hops aren't that prominent—it's more a function of the juiciness and perfumey character than the hops. Good.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, canned Jun 17 2021, 3 months old
Murky pale blond colour. Tropical juice, moderately sweet, with a pinch of bitter peel in the finish, and some alcohol.
Good, maybe less impressive than others from the brewery.

16oz on Alex's porch. Canned on 2021-Jun-17. Appearance: murky golden with a white head. Aroma: floral with some strange (herbal?) notes. Taste: along the same lines with floral, herbal, and dusty notes. Overall: weird one, not the best one from them.
