A taster shared with Josh, Matt, Phill, and Ryan during FHF with priceless Rachel's (yup, again!) help in organizing all the mess with glasses. Appearance: moderately hazy copper with a white head. Aroma: fun, currants. Taste: same. Overall: good one.

Pale pink head, stable over (cold)hazed deep red beer. Farmyard, restrained horseblanket... and fruit... red fruit... but kill me if I could tell what exactly. Sour, red/pink berries, jumble of fruits, if - thankfully - never descending to the ubiquitous fruitflavouring for jam/soft drink alas too popular in Belgium. Refreshing, spritzy carbonation, slight acidthinning. I do not know if the impossibility to identify the fruits comprised ought to be recognized as fault, or as asset...

Tap at 73 Enid Street. A hazed plummy red coloured pour with a lively lasting pink froth. Aroma is nice dirty funk, raspberry, blackberry, dusty berries, tart fruit, farmyard, horsey. Flavour is composed super tart, pithy drying berries, gooseberry, blackberry, drying funk, drying pithy finish. Palate is tart and prickly, uber drying finish, fine carbonation. Nice complexity.

Bottle from the 'Meerts box' from Hopduvel. Hazy red, quickly thinning, off-white head. Intense aroma of cassis, blueberry juice, unripe raspberry, yoghurt, sour cream, vinegar, lemon peel. Taste has very sour cassis, berry skin, redcurrant and some lemon acid balanced within a juicy, lactic-acidic, fruity-yoghurty profile. Very tart finish of red berries, berry skins, juice and seeds, offering a tannic and woody effect next to a funky vinegary note. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. A thoroughly juicy, fleshy, wild Fruit Lambic.

Bottle. Red, a white rim briefly. Aroma of funky old lemons, Ribeena, oak. Dry. Not a lot of fruit and very woody but it's as much moody as sour. More compelling after a time.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy deep cherry red with a small white head. Aroma brings out pithy berry, gentle jammy currant, and subdued funk. Flavour has a full-on raspberry and blackberry character upfront, with jammy currant, moderate funk still poking through, and a touch of acidity. Jammy, berry-dominant and nicely tart. Excellent.

Bottle: Poured a dark golden color lambic with a small foamy head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of fruity notes with some tart funky ester. Taste is a mix of fruity berry notes with some tart funky ester with light oak presence. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Nice drinkable fruited lambic with nice berry notes.

Bottle. Again very clear, deep red this time. Nice dry cellar funk, wheat, quite some fruit sourness with a hint of tannins and aroma, though like others in the series it’s not very fruit forward. A bit more on the sour side, bit I love the brightness and funk here. Overall quite good!
