Black, with a dark brown head, dark fruit, charred, but there is a heavy caramel on it, slick, a bit buttery. Maybe that's age, but it's not hitting for me.

Rated at Põhjala Brewery & Tap Room. Roasty and heavy with licorice notes, some raspberries, hints of coffee, vinous port and sherry notes, oak and wood, toffee and warming alcohol. Soft and complex.

330ml bottle at Kiki Lalat, Ipoh, Malaysia. Poured almost black in colour with a short-lived frothy tan head. The aroma is big molasses, marmite. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, big roasty, earthy, herbal, liquorice, red berry fruits, boozy alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation. I’m surprised this has such high ratings. For me it’s big, boozy and very average.

Default short pour @Grand Delancy. Dark, dusty, brown on black pour, cookie head. Chocolate, sour raspberry, obvious port nose. Taste is melty dark chocolate, heavy port, charred sweet brown bread, creme, significant oxidation, very acidic & itchy finish. Didn't completely deliver, but I didn't know this was a little old. Still good.
