From tap at Van Moll Fest 2022. What is this I can't even. Boiled vegetables? I don't know. A rather nondescript beer. Anyway, rather boring. A rare miss from Butcher's Tears.

(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2023) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, apricots, juniper and flowers. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, candy sugar, juniper, flowers and a sweetish finish with hardly any bitterness. Medium body, quite sweet. Fairly soft for a drikku, they tend to a bit more harsh and funky. This goes more in the saison direction. Still, quite nice.

Bottle. Color: Hazy orange amber, thin white head. Aroma: Yeasty, herbal/spicy, subtle juniper. Taste: Malty, bread notes, grainy, yeasty, grassy, fruity hints of stone fruit, floral and spicy juniper. A lot of flavors to explore in this beer. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate sweet and light.to moderate bitterness. Another nice Butchers Tears beer, nice to have this brewery brewing unusual tradition-inspired beers over here in The Netherlands. Keep up the good work, Butchers!

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in June 2022. Hazy, deep amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, malty, gently floral and a little funky aroma of caramel, honey, straw and some spruce. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently floral, slightly herbal and a little funky taste of honey, caramel, spruce, straw, juniper and grains, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Something really different for once, well-brewed as well. Interesting!

2 July 2022. At Dok Brewing Festival. Cheers to Anke, Eugène & Evelien!
Clear orange, thin, off-white head. Aroma of biscuit, orange peel, apricot, straw, juniper, brioche. Taste has sweetish plum & apricot, sourish citrus; wheaty malt base supporting grassy, spicy & herbal notes. Grassy hoppy finish, perfumey juniper popping up, somewhat acidic. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Works well, not too bad.
