500ml can purchased at the Costco in Overland Park, Kansas as part of the 2021 Advent Calendar (this was day 4). The pour is bright clear golden yellow with a 1 ½ inch foamy white head that is quite lasting. The aroma is grass and sweet malt with some nice mineral earth towards the back. The taste is softly honey sweet malt, maybe a bit of clove, and finishing with the mineral earth in the finish. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation and the clean mineral finish. Solid Oktoberfest.

Can from the advent calendar. Toasty, malty nose, clean and dry. Somewhat nutty too. Deep gold with a thick, low head. Crisp flavor, toasty, slightly nutty. Very fresh tasting. Crisp, dry finish. Quite simple and lovely.

Pours clear gold with a two finger white head. It smells of grainy, caramel malt. The flavor is malty and somewhat sweet with grainy and caramel malt and some light hops. Light to medium bodied.

Can from an advent calendar. Pours clear rich golden with large foamy off-white head, malt aroma, high carbonation, mildly sweet grainy malt taste, mild grassy bitterness coming in later, thin body, long medium bitter finish. Though it’s nice brew, it’s not what I expected to taste when I thought of a marzen.

500ml can from a Costco Advent Calendar, drank at my daughters place on 9th December 2021. Clean golden/amber body, white affair on top. Not too sure I'd call this a Marzen, it's too light and hasn't got that malty base I associate with the style. Decent enough Lager/Pils though. It does have a more grainy/malty feel than a hoppy one and I quite enjoyed it.

Can from day 8 Costco Lager advent. It pours clear golden - amber with a thick, rugged white head. The aroma is spicy, grassy, rivita, spicy bread, earth, digestive biscuit and cereal. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, bitterness which lingers, spicy, rivita, earth, light tannin, nuttiness, soapy floral vibes and dry grass with lingering bitter - spicy finish. Average body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Not quite as drinkable as I had hoped, mostly due to the spicy edge to it. Fine enough overall.

500 ml from the Costco Advent calendar. Aroma is a tad skunky, bready, caramel, grassy. Pours slightly hazy golden with a large cream-white head with excellent retention. Taste is sweet with a moderately bitter herbal hop edge. Better than average festbier.
