Near opaque dark brown beer, good bubbly darkish tan head. Airy palate, a mild dryness, decent fine minerally carbonation. Rich dark malts, a touch of dark malt creamy sweetness is subsumed by coffee and dark chocolate. There is a pronounced fruity aspect to both, ripe fruits but also brighter fruits. Hard to discern individual flavours from the complex fruit morass but plum rises above, some dark berries in there. Mild alcohol spice on the fairly light finish. Don't know if the buckwheat is adding the fruity aspect but this is different straight Impy and rather drinkable with it.

33cl bottle from Sip. Tallinn. Pours pitch black with a decent, beige head. Roasty and malty with dark chocolate, honey, caramel, dark fruits and alcohol. Sweet, malty and chocolaty with medium to high flavour intensity. Smooth, desserty and quite enjoyable.

Keg at Tilt, Bingohame, 18/02/23. Black with a khaki cap that dissipates edgewards. Nose is earthy fruits, mellow roast, nutty, burnt toffee, dark malts. Taste comprises chocolate, dark malts, hazelnut, toffee, honeycomb, molasses. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising kiss of alcohol. It's fine if no wow offered.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt notes with some light spicy malt notes and honey faint notes. Taste is also a mix of dry roasted malt with some faint bitterness and some honey notes with faint buckwheat malt notes also noticeable. Body is pretty full with good carbonation with no alcohol perceptible. Well brewed imperial stout with a nice touch of honey and buckwheat.

Tap at tilt. A sticky brown coloured pour with a small mid tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, woody, brandy snap sugars, earthy honey, maple. Flavour is medium sweet, sticky brown sugars, chocolate honey fudge, Warming alcohol. Palate is semi sweet Sticky sweet, mellow carbonation.
