Vi presentiamo la seconda creazione uscita dalla nostra cantina, questa volta la Papanero è stata impreziosita da un passaggio di 9 mesi in botti ex Cognac XO che le hanno regalato una nuova veste. Carbonazione quasi assente , schiuma inesistente, più simile ad un vino liquoroso più che ad una birra : sontuosa, elegante e complessa.

On tap at Borefts 2022. Black beer thin tan head. Chocolate cake aroma not too bad. some chocolate. bit of orange cognac. pretty good. like the cognac treatment. good

Sampled @ Borefts Bier Festival 2022. A black beer with a tan lacing. Aroma of mild sweet strong dark malt, chocolate, coffee. Taste of strong mid sweet caramelized and chocolate malt, coffee, boozy finish.

Woo, a surprise cognac BA stout, one of my favorites. This is pretty roasty and bitter, fairly sharp and pretty boozy. Cognac is subtly there, but could definitely be more, base has the upper hand. Yum, but unfortunately a tad thin.

Clear dark brown to black beer, no head. Aroma: malty, grains, hay, good roast, alcohol, more alcohol, more roast, a bit messy, dirty, weird. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet, bitter, good roast, lots of alcohol, quite some dark chocolate notes. Aftertaste: dry, bitter, more roast, more alcohol, very intense, all alcohol, a bit messy, way too intense, little dirty.

Bottle @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino leggera. Al naso intense note di cognac, cioccolato, legno, frutta rossa, caffé, liquirizia. In bocca è rotonda, corposa, anche complessa, botte ben presente, chiusura caffettosa amara. Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. Ottima.
