Good, dense, off-white head over rosy-metallic pink beer, looking as iced rosé. Very vinous nose, quite restrained lactic acid and horseblanket; berries. Seriously acidic, lactic acid, traces of malonic acid. Bit floral too, lending it a delicate touch of blossoms. A faraway hint of Burgundy wine, all the same. Light body, acidthinning and -burn, lipsmacking acidity, dry-out effect. Another excellent Tilquin creation. The question concerning Meerts remains.

375mL bottle, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out subtle grape skins, gentle funk and some earthiness. Flavour reveals a nice gentle red grape must, red wine, gentle acidity, and a touch of funk. Real nice subtle pinot noir character. Excellent.

Two separate ratings, kept only the most recent one, as it seems the most fair one, which was when I tasted two vintages side by side.

8/IV/24 - 37.5cl bottle from the brewery, shared @ Barjac (FR), BB: 2/VI/31, 20-21 version (2024-xxx) - Tasted side by side with 21-22 version, preferred the 20-21.

Clear peach orange to pinkish gold beer, practically no head, just some bubbles dissipating quickly. Aroma: nice, funky, good brett character, wood notes, fruity, sweet impression, some honey, clay, mineral notes. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: nice clean acidity, very fruity, juicy, a bit sweet, lemony, nice grapes, a little stingy acidity in the back of the throat. Aftertaste: fruity, some apricots and pineapple, gentle bitterness, some tannins, sweet grapes, nice, good stuff here!

Bottle: Poured a dark golden color lambic with a small foamy head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of funky ester with some tart notes and light vinous notes with faint oak notes are also perceptible. Taste is also a mix of funky ester with some tart notes, oka notes and light vinous notes with no noticeable acidity. Body is about average with limited carbonation. More complex than I was expecting with nice grape flavors and a vinous feel.

Bottle - one of a bunch from Cellars Bentleigh. Deep gold with a head that's gone before it even arrives. Funky aroma with dough, grapes, apricot stones, brooding old lemon sourness. Not far off still. A fair bit of body. Almost rich with apricot stones, light dough, grape skins, some twigs. Lovely.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Beer Merchants. Pours clear honey-gold with a quickly fading white fizz atop. Lightly sweet with clean citric tartness, low funk, a little pale wood, slight grassy notes. Light bodied with delicate, massaging carbonation. Clean, somewhat quenching finish, further citric tartness, light acetic bite, some salt. Quite a drinkable, fairly easygoing lambic.
