Draught (12%) @ the brewpub Aroma has licorice and alcohol. Flavour has cocoa, brett and chocolate. Finishes with salty licorice and candy. Hides the ABV very well. An excellent beer spoiled with barrell and brett.

Draught at Bar Oorlam. According to the menu, 11%. Citric and vinous aroma. Smells of Islay whisky, all right. Peaty and alcoholic. Black colour. Creamy stable brown head. The flavour starts off quite sweet, but later comes a distinct peated whisky note. Warming and boozy at the same time. The Brett shows itself mostly in the finish as a mild citric touch.

On tap at Borefts After Festival Kaapse Brewery, Rotterdam, Netherlands, Sunday 23rd September 2018. Another heavy showers sort of day. Not sure what I was expecting but nothing like this. It pours black with a slim beige head, salty but roasty, it's really good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.7

BAF 2018. Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft. Black, creamy mocha head. Nose is bitter harsh liquorice, roots, bark, herbal with faint sour. Taste is sour malt syrup, liquorice & peated, grainy, coffee, liquorice, herbal, too sour, peated syrup, not bad but just not my thing. Pure syrup molasses, liquorice. Intentsional? A brett only beer should not be sour.
